Have meals together as a family.

Having meals together is good for families. A
University of Michigan study found that mealtime
at home was the single strongest predictor of better
achievement scores and fewer behavioral problems for
children. Mealtime was far more powerful than time
spent in school, studying, worshipping, playing
sports, or art activities.
It can be hard to find time for regular meals together
as a family. But try hard to do that, and keep in mind
that it’s the time spent together, not what you’re serving,
that counts. Keep in mind, too, that your shared
meal doesn’t have to be dinner. If the only time you’re
together is at 7 a.m., then have family breakfasts.
